 IDP has announced that the national agreement of MDP does not guarantee the decisions made by the unity of the opposition alliance.
IDP stated this in a post on the parties official website which detailed that, when the national unity alliance had requested MDP to inform them of the steps the party would take if the chosen candidate the for presidential election did not belong to their party, MDP had failed to give a clear description of their actions towards such a scenario.IDP also stated that MDP did not conclude the matter in agreement with the alliance and the response given was in a way it that creates confusion. The website also stated that if the decision made by MDP was not an official decision they request the party to come to an urgent agreement on the matter of the candidate.
MDP national agreement only states that, they are prepared to present once candidate of their approval from the unity alliance to which they belong to , and that are willing carry on working in these terms. |
