 The court has passed a four year jail sentence on the captain of the fishing boat – Hoo yon Doo 860 that was caught while illegally entering and being in the Maldivian Sea territory.
In the court trial which was held today, the captian of the boat ‘Yey An Dexy’ said that they entered the territory while an engine shaft on board.
The captain who was sentenced today belonged to one of the two boats who had entered into the Maldivian territory illegally, and was also the vessel which was caught by the Maldivian fishing boat while it was trying to run away after being caught. |
