Dhifm has received information that the attorney generals office has instructed the Commissionaire of Elections to accept the declaration of the Civil courts and grant the registration of the Social Liberal Party. According to a very reliable source a formal letter was sent today to the election commission.
The Election commission had earlier requested and filed an appeal case against the civil court judgment on the registration of Social Liberal party, also asking for the advice of the attorney general on the matter. In the letter send to the election commission today the appeal for the case was also denied.
When dhifm contacted the election commission to get a comment on the issue the Assistant Director General Mohamed Tholaal stated that they were not aware of anything further regarding the matter and do not know of any such letter arriving at the election commission.
In a Civil court order issued on the 4th of this month instructs the election commission to accept the registration of the Social Liberal party and announce the party as registered. But no response has so far come form the commissionaire of elections

The only infamtion the election commission rvealed regarding the matter was that, the commissionaire of elections KAaf Dhaal Ahmed Manik did not believe that the civil court ruling was acceptable therefore have filed an appeal case to the attourney Generals office also asking for advice on the matter.
